Big Daddy Hosta is an excellent variety of hosta to use in your landscape.  The foliage of the Big Daddy Hosta is mint–blue-green with a dull finish to the leaves.  This perennial is compact and is a large-sized hosta.  The plant grows to a little over a two feet high.  In the summer slender staffs shoot up from the base of the plant and produce white flowers.  As with many other hosta varieties, Big Daddy Hosta can grow in a range of soils.  This hosta variety enjoys shade over the sun.
