In the fall the tree will turn bright yellow and shed its needles. Tamarack prefers wet soil. This tree can tolerate varying soil conditions such as clay, and less desirable soil. This tree is native to the Midwest.
Pruning- Pruning should only be done to remove dead or infected areas of the tree. This tree can be shaped when it is young to encourage uniform growth as it matures.
